Network Rail Continues its Programme of Maintenance, Repair and Development at this Difficult Time

Working with social distancing requirements and with some operatives ill or self-isolating will obviously reduce efficiency and slow work down, but with timetable reductions and fewer trains running important work can still proceed - and of course fewer passengers are suffering disrupted journeys. Staff on nationally critical routes, such as the West Coast and Chiltern main lines, are keeping essential supplies and key workers moving during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hertfordshire Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)

In line with Government advice, all of the county's HWRCs closed on Tuesday, 24th March 2020. HWRCs are still experiencing attempted visits by residents. Please DO NOT VISIT any HWRCs until further notice. Keep the items you were planning to take until the centres reopen. Bin collections are a district and borough council service. Please DO NOT put things like DIY waste or recycling into your kerbside general rubbish collection. Please don't bring things like cleaning cloths and tissues to your recycling centre.
