Now it has been, in the jargon, "unpaused" and the Transport Secretary is allowing work to restart - but much more slowly than before.
The planning application 15/2230/FUL for the redevelopment of the former Gas Works site in Wharf Lane was on the agenda of the TRD Planning Committee on Thursday, 21st January. The Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) refused the application and this was notified in a Decision Letter dated 3rd February, 2016. The principal reasons were (a) Detrimental overdevelopment (b) No provision made for affordable housing.
