Hertfordshire Liberal Democrats were delighted early on Friday morning by the return of their hard-working colleague County Councillor Ron Tindall to represent Adeyfield and Highfield in Hemel Hempstead.
The result for the Tring & the Villages Hertfordshire County Council Division was announced at about 3.00 a.m. this morning.
The Croxley Rail Link has taken another significant step towards reality. Hertfordshire County Council, which is the lead partner in this multi-agency project, has appointed Taylor Woodrow to draw up the engineering plans for the project.

16 Liberal Democrat County Councillors have all signed a petition to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee requesting a review of Twenty mph Speed Limits policy to be carried out. The Committee has agreed this should be done as part of a wider review of Speed Policy generally and the county's Highways and Transport Panel will be looking at the wider issues first. The Committee will then consider if the policies and procedures for implementing 20mph speed limits in Hertfordshire need simplifying or modifying.
