Local Liberal Democrat member, John Bowden , who has probably done more than most people to ensure that the Tring & District Community Centre became the viable and well-used community asset that it is today, has been elected to Tring Town Council.

You would think that Dacorum Borough Council could successfully carry through a nice, popular, simple little project like erecting some commerative street signs. When the fours signs, each on a tasteful dark green background, were erected everyone was pleased - especially Cllr Christopher Townsend who had asked for signs in the first place. Yes, they had different backgrounds, but most people thought that was intentional and that it was a way to make the commemeration more prominent and noticeable.
Reflecting on the year’s International Women’s Day theme of “accelerate action”, I am sadly reminded of how much more we still need to achieve.
