Bridleway Aldbury 49 Obstructed by a Fence Erected by the Landowner

Duchy's Piece is a small nature reserve near Aldbury which features rare butterflies and downland flora. It was opened about 10 years ago by the Queen Mother on land owned by the National Trust. Running just below this, separated by a small area of scrub and undergrowth is a field that runs down to Northfield Road and which changed hands about 3 years ago.

Dacorum Borough Council Eventually Got the Sign Design Right - but what a Waste of Resources!

You would think that Dacorum Borough Council could successfully carry through a nice, popular, simple little project like erecting some commerative street signs. When the fours signs, each on a tasteful dark green background, were erected everyone was pleased - especially Cllr Christopher Townsend who had asked for signs in the first place. Yes, they had different backgrounds, but most people thought that was intentional and that it was a way to make the commemeration more prominent and noticeable.

OPEN LETTER on Herts County Council's Bus Cuts

From: Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst - LD County Councillor for Central Watford and Oxhey Conservative run Herts County Council has decided to cut a further £1.47m from its bus budget. This will mean a dozen bus routes will cease to exist, others will only run up to 7.30pm, and just a few that serve hospitals will run on a Sunday (but again only up to 7.30pm).
