Hemel housebuilding targets - Lib Dems propose a move in the right direction

Laying the foundations for changes to Hemel housebuilding targets:

At the next Council Meeting on Wednesday 18th November, LibDem Councillors will be proposing a Motion - for debate - that requests the Council to write to the Government to ask them to revise the Dacorum housing numbers in line with the ONS figures.


The text of the Motion is as follows:

Motion to Council

Proposed by Councilllor Ron Tindall

This Council believes that the Government's centrally-determined targets for housing development in the Borough will adversely affect the development of the Dacorum Local Plan, forcing high levels of new housing onto green belt land.
