Hemel Hempstead Liberal Democrats kept their two seats in Highfield ward, across Dacorum the Lib Dems held all six seats while Labour lost two and gained one.
Hemel Hempstead Liberal Democrats increased their share of the vote for the third general election in a row. Dr Richard Grayson increased the Lib Dem vote by 6% and overtook Labour taking the Lib Dems into 2nd place.
Result: Con 50%; Lib Dem 23% +6%; Labour 21% -19%; BNP 3% (lost deposit); UKIP 3% (lost deposit); Independent 1% (lost deposit)
In the by-election in Adeyfield West the Lib Dems were the only major party to increase both their total votes and their share of the vote. Labour & the Tories both went down.
Result: Con Hold - Con 486 33% (-9%); Lab 429 29% (-13%); Lib Dem 362 24.5% (+8%); BNP 203 14%
Liberal Democrats won Hemel St Paul's from Labour with 1,134 votes to Labour's 563
the Conservatives were 2nd on 34%, Labour 3rd on 17%.
The Lib Dems also came 2nd in four other seats, Bridgewater, Hemel East, Hemel Town & Kings Langley
Across the parliamentry seat the Lib Dems came 2nd with approximately 5,100 votes & Labour 3rd with about 4,600 votes (votes adjusted to fit the constituency boundary)
In the European Elections the Liberal Democrats forced Labour into 4th place.

Con 15,152; Ukip 6,837; LIB DEM 6,310; Labour 4,572; Grn 3,586; BNP 2,238; Others 3,896
