Dr Richard Grayson praised the organisers of Saturday's 'Green Gathering' to mark the launch of 'Transition Towns' in Hemel. He also took part in a mass litter pick in Gadebridge Park. Commenting on the event he said:
Local people took some practical action today with the litter pick - it was amazing how much was gathered from a seemingly clear area. But there was also a chance to consider some of the wider issues at stake. In particular, I enjoyed discussions with various people about how to encourage cycling in Hemel, by making life on the roads easier and safer for cyclists. Well done to 'Hemel in Transition' for organising such a great event.
