Dr Richard Grayson attended a meeting on Climate Change held at Kings Langley School this evening. The meeting was organised by Kings Langley Christian Aid and featured a presentation by Dr David Gregory who worked for 18 years developing computer models for weather forecasting and climate research at the Met Office, The Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Change, as well as the European Weather Centre.
Commenting on the meeting, Dr Grayson said:
"It was an excellent meeting, which was very well attended. The dangers of climate change were persuasively put by Dr Gregory. He made it very clear that we must act quickly if we are to avert the most dangerous consequences of climate change. Liberal Democrats have been concerned about the issue for over twenty years and of the three main parties, we are widely recognised as having the boldest policies to tackle climate change."
